Description

Beryllium Copper Parts Per Drawing — Custom CNC Precision Components for Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Electronics Applications

We custom CNC manufacture Beryllium Copper Parts Per Drawing to client 2D/3D engineering designs. They provide complete GD&T dimensioning with machining tolerance up to ±0.002mm on alloys C17200, C17300, C17500 and C17510. The tensile strength reaches 1400MPa after heat treatment of ageing. Surface polish is maintained at Ra 0.2-0.4 µm. Established in 1997, Jiaye Dingsheng has over 25 years of expertise in copper alloys. The parts are produced according to ASTM B196, AMS 4650, ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 and RoHS. Each batch is given with a full EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate.

What Are Beryllium Copper Parts Per Drawing?

Beryllium Copper Parts Per Drawing are custom-made alloy components that are employed in situations when off-the-shelf parts do not meet the design and/or functional requirements. We shape, treat, harden and polish their surfaces to specification. Clients may provide IGES, STEP or DWG files.

This special form of manufacture may be used in extreme circumstances such as long term fatigue loads, high frequency electrical contact, non-magnetic requirements and spark resistant conditions in combustible or explosive atmospheres. Depending on the desired use, the alloy is graded as C17200 for structural strength, C17300 for precision machining, C17500 for high conductivity and C17510 for balanced conductivity and strength.

Material Grades & Chemical Composition

Alloy Grade Beryllium (Be%) Other Elements Key Characteristic
C17200 (CuBe2) 1.80 – 2.00% Cu Bal. Maximum strength, 38–44 HRC aged
C17300 (Leaded BeCu) 1.80 – 2.00% Pb 0.2–0.6%, Cu Bal. Free-machining for complex profiles
C17500 (CuCo2Be) 0.40 – 0.70% Co 2.40–2.70%, Cu Bal. High conductivity, 95–102 HRB aged
C17510 (CuNi2Be) 0.20 – 0.60% Ni 1.40–2.20%, Cu Bal. Balanced conductivity and fatigue strength

Each grade is vacuum-melted in-house to verify chemical composition before machining begins. No substitution without your written approval.

Mechanical & Physical Properties

Parameter Value
Tensile Strength (Aged AT) 680 – 1400 MPa
Yield Strength 550 – 1200 MPa

These values are verified per shipment through OES chemical analysis, Rockwell/Vickers hardness testing, and eddy current conductivity measurement.

Manufacturing Capabilities

For all bespoke components, we use standardized full-process production without streamlining processes. Swiss precision CNC turning, 5-axis milling for intricate aerospace structures, wire EDM for specific shapes and tiny slots, deep boring for long-size downhole sensor shells, and progressive stamping for mass-produced spring connections are examples of core machining technologies.

We strictly control product temper state, supporting TB00 solution annealing and AT/TF00 aging hardening delivery according to drawing requirements. We reserve and compensate for 0.2% shrinkage generated during aging treatment to ensure final dimensional accuracy. Meanwhile, we support customized surface treatments such as gold plating, silver plating, nickel plating and tin plating in accordance with drawing marking standards.

Application Areas

C17200 robust actuator pivots, bushings and landing gear components are used in the aerospace and military sectors. non-magnetic, anti-galling, stable for extended vibration.

Non-magnetic beryllium copper is used for the housings of MWD and LWD sensors for oil and gas downhole equipment. avoid signal interference. regulate the down hole high temperature and high pressure conditions.

Precision electronics and semiconductor testing are performed using C17500 ATE probe pins and test socket connectors. Have constant elastic force and conductivity over millions of cycles.

The anti-galling characteristic of injection mould inserts decreases surface wear from the repetitive opening and shutting of the mould. Thermal conductivity reduces the cycle time of moulding and heats dissipation.

Quality Control & Inspection

Our quality system covers raw material incoming inspection, in-process monitoring and finished product full inspection. The finished product inspection of Beryllium Copper Parts Per Drawing includes Zeiss CMM full-size calibration against CAD models, hardness verification, OES component PMI detection, eddy current conductivity testing, surface roughness detection, and PT non-destructive testing as required.

All machining processes adopt wet processing and HEPA filtering equipment to meet OSHA safety standards. Unqualified products will be isolated and prohibited from delivery to ensure batch stability.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: For complicated components, why use C17300 over C17200?
A1: In high-precision CNC machining, trace lead in C17300 improves chip breakup and reduces tool loss. After aging, mechanical properties match C17200.

Q2: Does aging affect dimensional accuracy?
A2: Aging causes about 0.2% linear shrinkage. We compensate in advance during machining to meet drawing tolerances.

Q3: Is plating available after machining?
A3: Yes. Gold, silver, nickel, and tin plating with appropriate thickness and coverage per customer designs.

Q4: Does this apply in cryogenic settings?
A4: Yes. Beryllium copper maintains its strength and ductility at very low temperatures, making it appropriate for cryogenic instruments and low-temperature testing equipment.

Q5: What safety precautions are taken?
A5: Wet processing and HEPA filtration throughout, complying with OSHA beryllium safety regulations.
