Description

C17300 Leaded Beryllium Copper Rod for High-Precision Machining Applications

C17300 Leaded Beryllium Copper Rod is a precipitation-hardened copper alloy that possesses the mechanical strength of standard beryllium copper. The addition of a regulated amount of lead to the alloy ranges from 0.2% to 0.6%. This lead content increases the machinability grade to 50 (in contrast to Free Cutting Brass at 100), which allows for finer surface finishes and higher spindle speeds. Before being dispatched, each rod undergoes vacuum melting, precision rolling, thermal treatment, and chemical verification by OES.

Dongguan Jiaye Dingsheng Precision Casting & Forging Co., Ltd. was established in 1997 and has a wealth of experience in the field of copper alloys, spanning over 25 years.

What Makes C17300 Different from Standard Beryllium Copper?

The C17300 Leaded Beryllium Copper Rod is composed of the same fundamental chemistry as C17200, with the addition of 1.8 to 2.0 percent beryllium. The sole difference is the increase in lead content from 0.2% to 0.6%.

This incorporation of lead enables the clean breakage of chips in high-speed CNC turning. Conventional beryllium copper produces long, stringy chips that contribute to tool wear and cycle time in the absence of it.

The result is a free-machining alloy which preserves the entire mechanical capabilities of C17200 after age hardening, without any loss of dimensional accuracy.

C17300 Leaded Beryllium Copper Rod Performance Advantages

Cyclic stress resistance:High tensile strength can withstand repeated mechanical load for long-term stable operation.

Non-magnetic and spark-proof. Suitable for use in flammable, explosive and precise electronic working settings.

Stable conductive performance: Meets signal transmission demands of miniature contacts and sensor components.

Stable structural performance: Resists stress relaxation to maintain stable contact force and dimensional tolerance.

Application Scenarios

It is widely used for aerospace precision contacts, 5G telecom miniature spring parts and automotive electronic sensors and fuel injection components. With good machinability and stability, it fits mass production of mechanical bushings and fasteners, and also applies to non-magnetic high-pressure and high-temperature downhole drilling tools.

Quality Control & Certifications

We implement three-stage full-process quality inspection. Each batch undergoes component analysis, hardness testing and dimensional calibration. All shipments are equipped with complete MTC reports. The factory holds ISO 9001 certification, and products comply with RoHS and REACH environmental standards.

Inspection Equipment

Machining & Safety Guidance

Solid rods are safe for daily storage and handling. Flood coolant and ventilation equipment are required during machining to control dust. Welding processing is not recommended, and mechanical assembly or professional brazing is adopted instead.

FAQ
