Description
C18150 Chromium Zirconium Copper Rod — RWMA Class 2 High-Conductivity Bar for Welding & Industrial Applications
C18150 Chromium Zirconium Copper Rod is a precipitation-hardened copper chromium zirconium alloy for thermal and electrical load-bearing working conditions. Established in 1997, Dongguan Jiaye Dingsheng boasts 25+ years of copper alloy production experience. This alloy rod reaches 450–550 MPa tensile strength and 75–83 HRB hardness, with 80%+ IACS conductivity and 320 W/(m·K) thermal conductivity. It maintains stable performance under 500°C working temperature. Available in 2–200mm diameters, the product complies with ASTM B929, RWMA Class 2 and DIN 17666 standards, with complete MTC test reports and batch traceability provided for each shipment.

What Is C18150 Chromium Zirconium Copper Rod?
In high speed manufacturing, standard copper alloys often fail by softening and deformation at temperatures over 200°C. This causes electrode deformation, frequent dressing of the tip and variable weld quality, all of which contribute to increased downtime and expense.
This is solved immediately by C18150 Chromium Zirconium Copper Rod. An alloy with a stable microstructure resistant to grain development is developed by adding 0.5–1.5% Chromium and 0.05–0.25% Zirconium to a copper basis and processing by solution heat treatment and controlled ageing. This results in a rod that can withstand constant temperature cycling without losing its hardness and form – something that pure copper or regular C18200 cannot consistently achieve.
C18200 is the same as C18150, except with the addition of Zirconium. It boosts the softening temperature and resistance to deformation, which immediately translates into longer electrode life and fewer production interruptions.

Product Advantages
High temperature stability: 500 ° C softening resistance adapts to long-term thermal cycling to reduce the frequency of part replacement.
Stable conductive performance: 80%+ IACS conductivity for efficient energy transfer for welding and power equipment.
Balanced mechanical performance : Compatibility of the structural strength with conductivity, for electrodes and conductive contact parts
Anti-alloying property: Optimised structure of zirconium prevents the adhesion of materials during the welding of galvanised steel, stabilises the quality of welding.
Application Scenarios
It is usually used in automobile robotic welding electrodes to keep tip shape stable and decrease maintenance frequency
It is used to produce mould liners and cooling elements that resist continuous thermal shock. It is processed into high voltage switch contacts and connectors it adapts to high current working situations. It is also suitable for precision moulds and electrical connection parts with great dimensional stability.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: How does C18150 vary from C18200?
A1: C18150 is alloyed with zirconium for better temperature resistance and resistance against deformation; electrode life is greater than that of C18200.
Q2: Which industry standard do your items conform to?
A2: They conform to ASTM B929, RWMA Class 2 and DIN 17666, and full test certificates are supplied.
Q3: Can you braze the rods together to assemble?
A3: Suitable for low-temperature silver braze. Close temperature control is required to prevent softening.
Q4: How to store the rods properly?
A4: Keep in a dry and cool place to prevent surface oxidation and maintain conductive performance.
Q5: Is it suited for low-temperature operating environments?
A5: Yes, the material will not become brittle at low temperatures and will keep its ductility.
Q6: Do you provide customized sizing and machining service?
A6: We can provide custom dimensions, set-length cutting and final precision machining.
