Description
Beryllium Copper Connector Strip for High-Density Electronic Connectors
Since 1997, Dongguan Jiaye Dingsheng Precision Casting & Forging Co.,Ltd. has specialised in making copper alloys. Our Beryllium Copper Connector Strip is constructed from a precipitation hardened copper alloy designed for exceptionally thin electrical interconnects.
The strip is available in lengths of up to 300 mm and thicknesses from 0.05 to 1.5 mm. It has an IACS electrical conductivity of 22–25% and a tensile strength of 1110–1320 MPa which makes it appropriate for applications that need accurate electrical connections.

What Is Beryllium Copper Connector Strip?
Common precipitation-hardened beryllium copper grades include C17200 (Alloy 25), C17300, C17500, and C17510, which typically contain 1.80–2.00% beryllium plus ≥0.20% nickel and cobalt.
It is widely used in micro pin headers, spring terminals, IC sockets and board to board connections since it offers better mechanical endurance and electrical stability than brass and phosphor bronze.
We provide three tempers: TF00 (precipitation hardened) for uniform hardness and reliable spring properties; H02/H04 (pre-tempered) for a balance of strength and ease of fabrication; and TB00 (annealed) for excellent stamping formability.

Key Performance Advantages
The material may bend elastically in narrow places and bounce back after repeated usage due to its yield strength of 950–1150 MPa, which prevents deformation and loose connections. It prevents weak connections and signal loss in sockets by maintaining a constant clamping force over thousands of mating cycles.
Additionally, it prevents stress relaxation after 1,000 hours at 150°C, maintaining contact force stability in dense assemblies. Its nonmagnetic qualities shield avionics and communication systems from electromagnetic interference, and it readily receives tin, nickel, and gold plating.
Application Areas
Beryllium Copper Connector Strip serves multiple core industries. In automotive and EV fields, it is used for BMS terminals and high-voltage charging pins to adapt to vibration and high-current working conditions. It is applicable to avionic multi-pin connections and shielding gaskets in aerospace and defense, allowing them to adjust to vacuum and extremely high temperatures. To provide long-term steady signal transmission, 5G communication hardware offers base station spring contacts and high-frequency RF connections. Additionally, it satisfies stringent dimensional tolerance requirements for pin headers, board-to-board connections, and consumer electrical IC sockets.

Quality Control Process
Before being sent, all strips and coils go through a three-stage inspection process. Beryllium concentration and chemical composition are confirmed by incoming OES analysis. Grain size (ASTM E112) and hardness are monitored by in-process control, which uses automated laser gauging with a tolerance of ±0.005 mm. In order to filter plating flaws, the final inspection examines surfaces and mechanical characteristics. For complete traceability, EN 10204 3.1 MTC is included with every shipment.

Custom Sizes & Supply Flexibility
Precision slitting and fixed-length cutting are among the customised processing services we provide. We can also modify hardness and conductivity properties in accordance with client specifications. We also provide assistance with manufacturing failure analysis and alloy selection guidance. Stock items are supplied in three to five days, and official quotes with full logistical and customs document assistance are given within twenty-four hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does the material comply with RoHS and REACH standards?
A: Yes. The solid beryllium copper strip meets both RoHS and REACH requirements. In finished product form, it poses no inhalation hazard.
Q: What is the proper order for heat treatment and stamping?
A: Stamp and shape the part in TB00 or H02 soft temper first, then age it to TF00. This helps prevent cracking in complex features.
Q: What is the lifespan of the beryllium copper strip?
A: When kept correctly in conventional anti-tarnish packaging, there is no set shelf life. Before using, retest solderability after two years of storage.
Q: Is the material suitable for gold plating?
A: Yes. A nickel underplate is required before gold plating. It prevents copper migration and keeps contact surface performance stable.
