Description

CuCo2Be Bushing for High-Conductivity & High-Load Applications — Precision CNC Machined to Custom Tolerances

CuCo2Be bushings (C17500, DIN 2.1285, RWMA Class 3) are supplied by Jiaye Dingsheng. Vacuum melting and full-process CNC machining are used to create the item, which has an exact tolerance of ±0.005mm. The alloy exhibits 45–60% IACS electrical conductivity, 200–245 W/m·K thermal conductivity, and a tensile strength of 680–850 MPa. Each batch has EN 10204 3.1 test certificates and conforms with industrial standards.

What Is a CuCo2Be Bushing?

CuCo2Be bushings, also known as EN CW104C and RWMA Class 3, are precision structural components composed of copper-cobalt-beryllium alloy.

It is composed of 2.40–2.70% cobalt and 0.40–0.70% beryllium, with copper serving as its base material.

Cobalt refines inner grains and stabilizes the microstructure to generate a stable age-hardening effect.

After heat treatment, the hardness approaches 95–102 HRB while maintaining a high conductivity, which is not achievable with conventional C17200 alloys.

It adapts to the two requirements of structural strength and heat conduction.

Material Performance Advantages

CuCo2Be bushings effectively reduce injection molding cycle time and prevent thermal seizure of moving parts because they dissipate heat four to eight times faster than tool steel. Its conductivity is 2.5 times that of C17200, making it appropriate for high-current welding equipment to minimize wear and operating heat. Under radial load, the 550–720 MPa yield strength keeps the structure from collapsing.

The product outperforms standard bronze materials in maintaining steady hardness at 400°C. It is suitable for a variety of unique industrial settings since it is non-sparking, non-magnetic, and has a permeability of less than 1.001.

Application Scenarios

  • Injection Molding: Sprue bushings and core pins are made using injection molding, which speeds up heat dissipation and minimizes product shrinkage.
  • Resistance Welding: Robotic welding shaft components use resistance welding to withstand repeated clamping pressure and stabilize high-current transmission.
  • Aerospace: Combined with landing gear and actuator parts to prevent damage from vibration and friction.
  • Industrial Equipment: Provides steady heat dissipation and size precision by acting as current-carrying guide pieces for continuous casting processes.

Quality Control Process

Every bushing passes a rigorous five-stage inspection: OES spectrum analysis confirms the composition of the alloy; eddy current testing verifies the effect of heat treatment by checking conductivity; metallographic inspection removes internal brittleness; CMM precision testing ensures dimensional conformance; and ultrasonic nondestructive testing detects internal flaws. Official test results that can be traced are attached to every shipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is the difference between CuCo2Be and C17200 bushings?
A1: CuCo2Be has higher electrical and thermal conductivity, fit for heat dissipation and conduction scenarios. C17200 features higher hardness and strength, suitable for high-load mechanical scenarios.

Q2: Can CuCo2Be bushings function in hot conditions?
A2: It can respond to prolonged high-temperature industrial use by maintaining steady mechanical and hardness qualities at 400°C.

Q3: Does the material have corrosion resistance?
A3:
It performs consistently in mold condensation, industrial cooling water, weather, and conventional lubricants Athat are very resistant to corrosion.

Q4: What function does cobalt serve in the alloy?
A4:
Cobalt refines alloy grains, stabilizes microstructure during age treatment, and improves the material's overall heat treatment stability.

Q5: Are there safety notes for machining?
A5: Solid finished products are safe to handle. Dust extraction and professional PPE are required during grinding and cutting processes.
