Description

C17500 Beryllium Cobalt Copper Sheet | CuCo2Be Plate for High-Conductivity Welding & Mold Applications

C17500 Beryllium Cobalt Copper Sheet is a precipitation hardened copper alloy that meets RWMA Class 3 and is appropriate for industrial applications involving long term thermal and mechanical stress. It has 45-60% IACS conductivity, 200-240 W/m.K thermal conductivity and 690-900 MPa tensile strength with 2.40-2.70% cobalt and 0.40-0.70% beryllium composition. Dongguan Jiaye Dingsheng Precision Casting & Forging Co., Ltd. was founded in 1997, and produces plates with thickness ranging from 10mm to 200mm.

All goods are in accordance with ASTM B534, EN CW104C and ISO 5182, and full EN 10204 3.1 test certifications are given with each batch.

What Makes CuCo2Be Different from Other Copper Alloys?

In most typical copper alloys, conductivity and strength are trade-offs in performance. This constraint is overcome by the CuCo2Be Plate by forming a stable precipitation structure after the ageing process.

Its softening temperature is as high as 500-550°C, substantially greater than that of normal C17200 beryllium copper. The material balances the conductive and heat dissipation performance of the pure copper with the mechanical stability of the tool alloy, suiting the multi-condition operating needs of current transmission, heat removal and cyclic mechanical stress.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is C17500 vs C17510?
A1: C17500 has cobalt as the major alloying element, which is suitable for RWMA standard resistance welding. C17510 has nickel as the main component.

Q2: Can we machine the plates after purchase?
A2: Yes. Carbide tools are suggested for machining in the heat-treated condition for excellent dimensional accuracy and surface polish.

Q3: Need heat treating before use?
A3: No, all items are solution treated and age hardened and may be machined or used immediately.

Q4: What is the corrosion resistance of C17500?
A4: The corrosion resistance is the same as pure copper, with stable performance in ordinary industrial conditions, and in certain particular situations it is superior to C17200 and tool steel.

Q5: What qualification papers can you provide?
A5: Each batch has EN 10204 3.1 MTC, supporting ISO 9001, RoHS and REACH compliance certification.
