Founded in 1997, we have over 25 years expertise in producing copper alloys. The plates are produced by vacuum melting and precision rolling. Conductivity is 78–85% IACS, tensile strength 450–580 MPa and maximum softening temperature 550°C.
Configurable width and length Product thickness of 10 mm to 200 mm All items are produced in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and RoHS standards and are supplied with EN 10204 3.1 test certifications for each batch.

What Is C18150 Copper Plate for Resistance Welding?
C18150 Copper Plate Resistance welding uses CuCr1Zr chromium zirconium copper alloy, which is widely utilised as electrode platens, backup dies and tooling components for resistance welding equipment. General pure copper is easy to soften and distort during cyclic heating in continuous welding. The alloy with 0.50 to 1.50 percent chrome and 0.02 to 0.20 percent zirconium develops a stable precipitation-hardened microstructure.
It can stabilise product shape and electrical efficiency and decrease electrode sticking during long-term automatic welding. It is a common material for projection welding platens, seam welder bushings and flash welding backup dies in the industry.

Key Material Advantages
Zirconium microalloying improves the material’s thermal stability, effectively avoiding plate deformation in long-cycle welding work, with better performance than conventional C18200 chromium copper. 78–85% IACS conductivity reduces power loss in heavy-duty welding and stabilises weld nugget development. Thermal conductivity of 320-340 W/m·K speeds heat dissipation in the weld zone and decreases thermal damage of plates and workpieces.
After age hardening, the alloy prevents the electrode from mushrooming and sticking while welding galvanised steel and stainless steel. Its yield strength is 380-500 MPa and it can keep its dimensions without deflection under prolonged clamping pressure.
Application Scenarios
C18150 Copper Plate Resistance Welding is widely used in multiple industrial fields. In automotive and EV manufacturing, it applies to battery busbar and high-voltage connector welding. In power electronics and semiconductor industry, it serves for heat sink and lead frame welding. It also fits the production of switchgears and circuit breakers, adapting to high current surges and mechanical impact. Besides, it can be used for continuous casting mold liners and high-current busbar production.
Quality Control & Inspection Methods
We conduct a whole-process inspection for all items. We do eddy current testing to check the conductivity compliance of products, Rockwell hardness testing to check the stable hardening effect, OES spectral analysis to check the chemical composition, microstructure inspection to eliminate internal defects, and precision dimensional testing to ensure the products meet tolerance requirements. Each shipment is supplied with full EN 10204 3.1 certification and full batch traceability documentation.

FAQ
Q1: What is the benefit of C18150 compared to C11000 pure copper?
A1: C18150 has a softening temperature of 550°C, so the structure will not be deformed by high-cycle welding. C11000 is readily softened and cannot withstand long-term heavy-duty operation.
Q2: Is it necessary to utilise professional cooling of the material?
A2: Yes. For continuous welding operation, internal water cooling is essential to stabilise the material performance and prolong its service life.
Q3: How does surface oxidation affect welding effect?
A3: Surface oxidation increases contact resistance. Regular surface cleaning is needed to stabilize current transmission and welding quality.
Q4: Does C18150 meet international industry standards?
A4: It complies with RWMA Class 2, ISO 5182, ASTM B152 and EN CW106C standards for industrial welding materials.
Q5: C18150 and C18200, what’s the difference?
A5: C18150 includes zirconium than C18200, which increases the high temperature softening and creep resistance of the alloy, and is better appropriate for long-term continuous welding.
