Description
C63000 Aluminum Bronze Plate – Nickel Aluminum Bronze for Marine, Aerospace & Heavy Wear Applications
The wrought nickel aluminum bronze alloy called C63000 Aluminum Bronze Plate (UNS C63000 / CuAl10Fe5Ni5 / EN CW306G) is made to handle tough structural situations. It has a tensile strength between 700 and 850 MPa and a hardness range of 180 to 240 HB.The alloy stops parts from breaking due to mechanical wear, long-term stress, and seawater damage by creating a self-healing aluminum-nickel oxide layer on its surface. It can be custom cut and precisely ground, and the thickness can be from 10 mm up to 200 mm.It follows standards like DIN EN 12163, ASME SB171, and ASTM B171.Each batch comes with a full EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificate, ISO 9001:2015 certification, and is RoHS compliant.
What Is C63000 Aluminum Bronze Plate?
This alloy, also called Nickel Aluminum Bronze (NAB), is made from copper, along with 9.0 to 11.0% aluminum, 4.0 to 5.5% nickel, and 3.0 to 5.0% iron.Compared to regular bronze and brass, it has better ability to carry weight and resist corrosion.
The presence of iron and nickel helps make the material more resistant to fatigue and damage from mechanical shocks by improving the structure of the metal inside.
C63000 Aluminum Bronze Plate is made through rolling and extrusion, not casting like C95400.This process gives it a higher density, consistent size, and better strength that doesn't change over time.It can work reliably for a long time without problems like dezincification, which affects brass, or pitting corrosion, which affects stainless steel, especially in acidic or marine environments.

Key Performance Advantages
This alloy can handle structural loads that regular copper alloys and mild steel can't, because it has a tensile strength between 700 and 850 MPa, and a yield strength between 350 and 450 MPa.It's good for aircraft brackets and valve parts because it keeps its strength even when it's hot.
For use in offshore equipment and parts that move seawater, the nickel and aluminum coating helps prevent things like biological growth sticking to it, corrosion from saltwater, and cracking from stress.
Its strong metal structure also helps protect pump and valve parts from damage caused by fast-moving water and changes in pressure.
C63000 Aluminum Bronze Plate is great at reducing metal rubbing, scratching, and sticking when under heavy pressure, as long as it's at a hardness of 180 to 240 HB.
This means equipment needs less maintenance.Plus, since it doesn't create sparks, it's safe to use in places where there's a risk of fire or explosion, like in chemical, oil, and gas industries.
Available Temper Conditions
Hot Rolled (HR50): Standard wrought state;Annealed: Improved ductility for forming processing;Quenched & Tempered: Enhanced hardness and strength for extreme load scenarios;Stress Relieved (TQ50): Stable size for precision components
Typical Applications
Hot Rolled (HR50): Typical state of wrought
Enhanced ductility for forming processing when annealed
Quenched and Tempered: Increased strength and hardness for high loads
Stress Relieved (TQ50): Precision component size stability
Quality Control Process
All plates adopt five-stage strict inspection: OES chemical analysis to verify alloy ratio; ASTM E2375 ultrasonic testing to check internal pores and inclusions; mechanical testing to meet AMS 4640 standards; laser precision dimensional inspection; microstructure detection to avoid material aluminization failure. Each shipment is equipped with traceable EN 10204 3.1 test reports.

Machining & Welding Considerations
Its machinability is 20% of free-cutting brass. Carbide tools and continuous cooling fluid are required during processing. GTAW and GMAW welding are available, with special aluminum bronze welding wire required to ensure stable corrosion resistance of welding joints.

FAQ
Q1: What is the difference between C63000 and C95400?
A: C63000 is a wrought alloy with higher density and fatigue strength, while C95400 is cast bronze. C63000 delivers more stable overall performance.
Q2: Is C63000 weldable?
A: Yes, GTAW and GMAW processes are applicable. Special aluminum bronze filler metal is required to protect welding joint performance.
Q3: Is C63000 non-sparking?
A: Yes, it is non-sparking and can be used for components in flammable and explosive working environments.
Q4: What is the machinability of C63000?
A: The machinability is 20% of free-cutting brass. Carbide tools and stable cooling conditions are required for processing.
Q5: What heat treatment options are available?
A: Hot rolled, stress relieved and quenched & tempered states are optional, selected according to actual application demands.
Q6: What certificates can be provided?
A: We provide EN 10204 3.1 test reports, ISO 9001:2015 quality documents and RoHS compliance certificates.
