Description

Aluminum Bronze Sheet C63000 Plate for Marine & Heavy-Duty Engineering Applications

Aluminum Bronze Sheet C63000 is a commonly used copper aluminium alloy plate for maritime and heavy engineering applications.

It has 750-850MPa tensile strength and 187-241HB hardness. Compared with regular brass and bronze, it has stable load-bearing and corrosion resistance. Production as per ASTM B171 and ASME SB171. Product is ISO 9001 certified and RoHS compliant. EN 10204 3.1 test certificates available for each batch. It is commonly used in mechanical design projects and industrial procurement.

What Is C63000 Aluminum Bronze Sheet?

Aluminum Bronze Sheet C63000 is a nickel-aluminum bronze alloy with a stable chemical composition, consisting of 9.0-11.0% aluminium, 2.0-4.0% iron, 4.0-5.5% nickel and the remainder copper. Dense oxide coating will develop on the surface of alloy, which resists oxidation, chloride erosion and stress corrosion, and is suitable for long-term saltwater immersion situations.

This grade is in accordance with DIN 2.0966, EN CW306G and CuAl10Fe3Mn2, and may be used for European and American procurement norms.

Key Performance Advantages

Stable mechanical properties: Consistent with strength characteristics of low-alloy steel, ensuring structural stability under long-term static load.

Marine adaptability: Resists corrosion by saltwater and adhesion of marine organisms and is appropriate for long-term submergence in offshore applications.

Erosion and wear resistance: Withstands high-speed fluid scouring and mechanical friction, which reduces the wear of components in pump and valve equipment.

High temperature stability: Keeping stable hardness and structure under high temperature operating circumstances for industrial hydraulic and mould systems.

Application Scenarios

Marine & Offshore Engineering: Used for saltwater treatment equipment, condenser plates and offshore structural elements to combat chloride corrosion and biological fouling.

Heavy Industry Processing: Mould wear plates and guide strips, to meet the high pressure, cyclic working environment.

Aerospace & Defence: Applicable for safety structural parts with non-sparking properties and steady strength to weight ratio.

Fluid Control Components Suitable for pump bodies, impellers and valve parts withstanding corrosion and mechanical fatigue in prolonged use.

Quality Control Process

All batches adopt four-stage inspection: OES chemical composition analysis, ASTM-standard mechanical testing, ultrasonic non-destructive flaw detection and metallographic microstructure inspection. All test data is recorded in EN 10204 3.1 certificates to realize full batch traceability.

FAQ

Q1: Is C63000 aluminum bronze weldable?
A1: Yes. TIG and MIG welding are available with matched filler metal. Preheating and interpass temperature control are required during operation.

Q2: How does it perform in seawater compared with stainless steel?
A2: It works more stably in stagnant seawater, avoiding pitting and crevice corrosion caused by chloride ions.

Q3: Is it applicable for non-sparking working scenarios?
A3: Yes, it fits safety tooling and equipment parts used in flammable and explosive environments.

Q4: What surface finishes can be provided?
A4: Hot-rolled and cold-rolled finishes are in stock. Precision grinding and polishing can be customized per drawing requirements.

Q5: What qualification documents are supported?
A5: Each order is attached with complete EN 10204 3.1 test reports, with RoHS and REACH documents available on request.
