Description

C95400 Aluminum Bronze Round Bar for Industrial Bushings, Bearings & Wear Components

C95400 Aluminum Bronze Round Bar is a high strength copper alloy for industrial applications requiring sustained wear resistance, stress and corrosion resistance. It contains 83-85% of copper, 10-11.5% of aluminium and 3-5% of iron. Its tensile strength is 517-620 MPa and hardness 170-195 HB. Dongguan Jiaye Dingsheng has over 25 years of expertise in copper alloy manufacturing and can assist with precision cut round bars with full dimensional traceability and mill test certifications.

Factory - Interior

What is C95400 Aluminum Bronze Round Bar?

C95400 Aluminum Bronze Round Bar is a copper-aluminium-iron family of casting alloys, sometimes known as Alloy 954 or 9C aluminium bronze. The iron element of 3-5% refines the grain structure in the interior, giving higher overall strength and fatigue resistance than standard aluminium bronze. This replaces brass and tin bronze when high yield strength and anti-galling performance is needed. Non-sparking characteristic makes it suited for assembly of oil, gas, mining and chemical processing equipment.

Chemical Composition

Element Content (%)
Copper (Cu) 83.0 – 85.0 (Balance)
Aluminum (Al) 10.0 – 11.5
Iron (Fe) 3.0 – 5.0
Manganese (Mn) ≤ 0.50
Others ≤ 0.50

If your application includes severe wear or impact loading, the TQ50 temper option enables you to choose much greater hardness and tensile strength.

Key Performance Advantages

Wear and anti-galling performance: Unique iron-aluminum microstructure to prevent shaft seizing from contact with steel components, more stable than stainless steel for bushing applications.

High temperature stability: For hydraulic components and industrial pump parts producing heat, mechanical strength is steady beyond 150 ° C.

Safety: Non-sparking in mining and chemical industries under combustible and explosive working circumstances without loss of load-bearing capacity.

Fatigue & Cavitation resistance Resists cyclic stress and fluid scouring, therefore lowering maintenance frequency of marine and hydraulic equipment.

Good weldability: TIG and MIG weldable making possible on site assembly and maintenance of components.

Typical Applications

Low-friction bushes and sleeve bearings

Marine and industrial pump and valve components

High Pressure Hydraulic System Parts

Load bearing wear parts for mining equipment

Marine grade hardware, salt water corrosion resistance

Quality Control Process

We execute three stages of thorough process inspection. Raw materials are validated by OES or ICP composition analysis. The production temperature and cooling parameters are constantly monitored to stabilise the grain structure. The composition of finished items is rechecked and tested for hardness, and dimensions are calibrated. UT and LPI flaws are optionally tested for. All shipments are backed by ISO 9001 quality system certification and EN 10204 3.1 MTC certifications.

FAQ

A1: C95500 has a little more copper than C95400?
A1:
C95500 contains nickel for improved strength and corrosion resistance, C95400 offers cost stability for common wear-resistant and bearing uses.

Q2: Can C95400 be heat treated to increase hardness?
A2:
Yes, the TQ50 quenching and tempering treatment may increase the hardness and tensile strength for heavy-load and wear-intensive applications.

Q3: What is the machinability of this alloy?
A3: The machinability rating is 20% relative to free-cutting brass. Sharp carbide tools and professional cutting fluid are recommended for processing.

Q4: Is C95400 suitable for welding work?
A4: It supports TIG and MIG welding. Preheating thick materials to 150–200°C can effectively prevent welding cracks.

Q5: Why choose it over stainless steel for bushing parts?
A5: It has natural lubricity to avoid shaft seizing, with better machinability than stainless steel in long-term rotating friction scenarios.
