Description

Beryllium Copper Parts for Aerospace, Oilfield & Electronics — Precision CNC Machined to ±0.002mm

Beryllium Copper Parts are precision machined alloy components made of 0.4%–2.0% beryllium copper. Manufactured by Dongguan Jiaye Dingsheng (established 1997), our parts adopt vacuum melting, CNC turning, 5-axis milling and wire EDM processing. Available in C17200, C17300, C17500 and C17510 grades, they reach up to 1450 MPa tensile strength and 22–60% IACS conductivity with ±0.002mm tolerance. All products comply with ASTM B196, AMS 4650, ISO 5182 and SAE J463 for aerospace, oilfield, semiconductor and electronic applications.

What Makes These Alloy Grades Different?

Mechanical performance is the main focus of C17200 (CuBe2). For fatigue resistance and severe dynamic load carrying, aged hardness reaches 36–42 HRC.

C17300: C17200 grade with lead modifications. Ideal for high-volume tiny precision items, it maximizes CNC chip removal to save tool wear.

C17500 (CuCo2Be): Low cobalt and beryllium content. Higher electrical and thermal conductivity makes it appropriate for welding electrodes and molds.

For high-temperature electrical connections, the nickel-containing formula C17510 (CuNi2Be) strikes a compromise between strength and conductivity.

Key Performance Advantages

Beryllium copper components gain stable structural strength and are able to endure long-cycle fatigue operation without deforming after being aged at 315°C. Because the material is non-magnetic (permeability <1.001) and non-sparking, it meets explosion-proof and high-precision detection requirements.

It provides consistent anti-galling performance against steel and titanium mating components for most sliding applications without requiring extra coating. By supporting nickel, silver, and gold plating, the material stabilizes low contact resistance for long-term electronic component operation.

Inspection Equipment

Manufacturing Capabilities

Production at Dongguan Jiaye Dingsheng covers the full workflow from vacuum melting to finished part inspection. The key processes include:

  • Swiss CNC Turning — for micro-miniature contacts and small-diameter precision shafts
  • 5-Axis Milling — for complex aerospace structural parts and actuator pivots
  • Wire EDM — for tight-tolerance cavities and slots in mold core inserts
  • Progressive Stamping — for high-volume connector contacts and spring contacts
  • Deep Boring — for downhole sensor housings with long L/D ratios

ISO 9001:2015 quality management is applied to every production. Dimensional measurement, Rockwell/Vickers hardness testing, and OES chemical analysis are all part of the final inspection. An EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificate (MTC) with information on conductivity, hardness, and chemical composition is included with every shipment.

Applications Across Industries

Aerospace and military industries employ actuator pivots, bushings, and connectors for high-load, vibration-stable operation.

Oilfield Downhole: Non-magnetic drill parts and HPHT housings for high-pressure explosive well configurations.

For repeated contact testing in semiconductors, test pins and sockets should have a constant elasticity.

RF Microwave: Consistent high-frequency signal transmission is ensured via precise connections.

Injection molds employ high-conductivity inserts to shorten molding cycles and accelerate cooling.

Quality Assurance and Traceability

We use three stages of quality control, which include testing of the final Beryllium Copper Parts, in-process monitoring, and raw material verification. To satisfy aerospace and industrial audit standards, complete batch traceability is provided, and all melting and processing parameters are documented. Before being delivered, non-conforming items undergo reprocessing.

FAQ

Q1: Are finished beryllium copper parts safe to handle?
A1: Solid finished parts are safe for regular handling. Only dust and fumes from grinding or welding require professional protection.

Q2: How does beryllium copper differ from phosphor bronze?
A2: Higher strength and longer fatigue life, supporting miniaturized structural design for cyclic contact parts.

Q3: Can these parts be used in vacuum environments?
A3: Yes. Low outgassing makes them suitable for semiconductor vacuum and space equipment.

Q4: Why is aging treatment required after machining?
A4: Aging precipitates internal alloy phases, improving structural strength and dimensional stability.

Q5: What plating works for electronic contact parts?
A5: Gold plating and sulfamate nickel plating are commonly used for stable conductivity and wear resistance.
