Description

CuBe2 Bushing for Aerospace & Heavy Industry — Zero-Galling, Extreme-Load Precision Components

CuBe2 Bushing is a precision CNC-machined copper beryllium friction component, designed for harsh and demanding industrial operating conditions. Manufactured with CuBe2 (UNS C17200 / Alloy 25) material, the component achieves peak mechanical performance after aging heat treatment, with tensile strength up to 1400 MPa and hardness ranging from 38–44 HRC. Its outer diameter covers 10mm–500mm, with machining tolerance strictly controlled at ±0.005mm. The product conforms to ASTM B196, AMS 4650 and ISO 5182 standards. Produced by Dongguan Jiaye Dingsheng, a manufacturer established in 1997 with over 25 years of copper alloy processing experience, all products are certified with EN 10204 3.1 test reports and ISO 9001 system certification.

What Is a CuBe2 Bushing?

CuBe2 Bushing functions as a high-performance bearing liner, preventing mechanical seizing and reducing friction under high loads. It uses a professional copper-beryllium alloy matrix with 1.80–2.00% beryllium, at least 0.20% cobalt and nickel, and the rest amount of copper. In contrast to traditional bronze and polymer bushings, it strikes a compromise between low friction matching performance and structural robustness.

This component is tailored for oscillatory and pivot scenarios where standard rolling bearings fail due to fatigue, concentrated point load or insufficient lubrication. The alloy’s inherent non-sparking and non-magnetic properties make it applicable for safety-sensitive industrial environments.

Key Performance Advantages

Ability to Handle Loads
Precipitation aging stabilizes the alloy structure. bears both static and dynamic stress loads continuously. Perfect for aviation parts and heavy-duty hydraulic systems.

Anti-Seizure & Anti-Galling
A copper-beryllium matrix fits matching components made of hardened steel, titanium, and nickel alloy. stops scuffing, galling, and fretting during extended oscillation at high pressure.

Opposition to Wear
A consistent 38–44 HRC hardness lowers abrasion loss even in dry or poorly lubricated situations. Oilfield downhole equipment and hydraulic pumps are suitable.

The structure's stability and security
There are no friction sparks on metal contact. suits places that are combustible and explosive, such petrochemical plants and mines. Because it is non-magnetic, there is no signal interference with sensors and instruments in aviation and subsea equipment.

Resistance to Corrosion and Thermal Dissipation
resists industrial cleaning chemicals, hydraulic fluid, hydrogen sulfide, and saltwater spray. increases the offshore valve components' lifespan. Thermal conductivity accelerates heat dissipation and lessens thermal fatigue, outperforming stainless steel and regular phosphor bronze.

Application Scenarios

Actuator assemblies, landing gear pivots, and flight control linkages are a few examples in aviation and aerospace. satisfies AS9100's fatigue resistance and non-magnetic standards.

Drill stabilizers, mud motor bearings, and wellhead valves are examples of oilfield downhole equipment. regulates corrosive, high-pressure downhole environments.

Examples of heavy machinery and hydraulics include excavator boom pivots, kingpin liners, and hydraulic cylinder end caps. resists impact from large weights and dust abrasion.

Pitch and yaw bearings in wind turbines are examples of renewable energy sources. stable with minimal upkeep and a variety of loads.

Maritime & Subsea: Offshore swivel joints, subsea valve stems. structurally sound in high-salinity, high-pressure marine environments.

Quality Control Process

Before being sent, every CuBe2 Bushing product goes through a thorough inspection process. OES spectroscopic examination confirms that the chemical composition satisfies ASTM requirements. Qualified heat treatment results are validated by expert HRC and HV hardness testing.

To ensure tolerance accuracy, all inner and exterior diameter dimensions are calibrated using air gages and CMM precision equipment. While microscopic examination verifies consistent internal grain structure, surface roughness testing guaranties steady friction performance. Complete EN 10204 3.1 official test paperwork are included with every batch.

Custom Manufacturing Options

We provide customized processing services based on customer drawings. Dimensions can be customized within the 10–500mm outer diameter range, including wall thickness, bore surface finish, flange shape and lubrication groove structure.

Two temper states are optional: TB00/A solution annealed for secondary processing and AT/TF00 age-hardened for direct installation. Hardness and conductivity indicators can be adjusted within the standard alloy range. We provide 24-hour quotation service, with blank parts delivered in 3–5 working days and finished products delivered according to agreed lead time.

FAQ

Q1: Can CuBe2 Bushing run dry?
A1: Short-term dry running works with low friction. For continuous dry use, custom lubrication grooves are recommended.

Q2: Continuous working temperature?
A2: Stable at -100°C to 250°C. Above 250°C long-term, the heat-treated structure gradually softens.

Q3: Difference from phosphor bronze bushings?
A3: Higher tensile strength and hardness, better anti-wear and anti-galling, suited for heavy-load and high-precision use.

Q4: How to judge replacement?
A4: Increased radial clearance, abnormal noise, surface scratches, and rising vibration.

Q5: Meet aerospace certification?
A5: Yes. AS9100 production, AMS 4650 material cert, and EN 10204 3.1 reports for aerospace orders.
